hoythoyt really cool animation! really cool effects! you seem to have comped the character on the background with premultiplied alpha, which is giving you some nasty dark edges around the character, especially when motion blurred! the reflections on the ground might be too sharp! the reflections coming from the light sabers are a lot darker on the floor, they seem to lose their incandescent look! the occlusion looks a bit grey on the character, especially on the skin. the shadows on the floor look a bit too distracting!
Ya I don't know how to turn off premult in AE I was looking for it, but I finally gave up. I moved over to nuke after this anyway which doesn't have that problem.
As far as everything else is concerned, I want to go back into it and fix most of the especially actually rendering out an OCC pass because there isn't one comped in. But the multishader on the model causes too many problems on the farm, and my computer can't locally render this.
The sabers lose their incandescence in the refs becasue I didn't comps sabers over the reflections, truthfully I forgot about them. I noticed that, I was just hoping no one would bring it up.
Some of the problems with what you see here could be because of the double compression I put on it for posting. it was compressed h264 out of premiere then recompressed through QT for web transmission.
